Our Vision

Towards a strong, gap-free, and well-connected ecosystem that brings together and aligns the efforts of the Egyptian engineering and technology industry, academia, applied research, and governmental regulatory bodies and policy makers towards common goals through organized IEEE Egypt Section activities, organized for students and professionals alike. IEEE Industry Engagement Egypt envisions itself as a nationwide hub for consolidating and complementing the corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts of the different engineering and technology firms, the research and development (R&D) interests of companies and government to solve persisting production problems and improve production efficiency, with talented and properly upskilled manpower.

Our Mission

Despite its original Electrical and Electronic Engineering focus, IEEE, and its Egypt Section in particular, encompassed all engineering and technology disciplines through its diverse activities organized over the past several decades. IEEE Industry Engagement Egypt aspires to maintain and strengthen the existing industrial relations, establish new relations, and even more to come up with and introduce different industry-research-academia interaction models that are novel yet promising to the Egyptian market and its growth. This includes, but not limited to nationwide industry-academia mentorships, internships, jobs, technology meetups, focused summer schools, and international internships/exchange programs with entities under Region 8 with no similar ones available nationwide.

Key Annual Activities

IEEE Egypt Section, via its underlying organizational units (OUs) and affinity groups, annually organizes key engineering and technology activities that foster continuous learning, technical upskilling, and innovative idea sharing among students, academics and researchers, industry professionals, and governmental institutions.

Egyptian Engineering Day (EED): IEEE Young Professionals (YP) Egypt’s 20-year old flagship nation-wide exhibition that showcases innovative engineering and technology projects, and an annual nexus for industry professionals.
